70 baywindow
He is the 70 baywindow I picked up about a month ago. Once I get the bug painted then I am going to start on it.

Have you aqquired the parts yet? Looks like it is warming up, so it's time to start the cranking on these rigs.

No brakes at all but I have everything to fix them. The motor runs pretty good just needs the carb rebuilt

Sounds like you will be rolling that pretty soon! If I'm not doing that super beetle, I will be doing the rust repair on the bus, should have metal work done within that time. I pretty much have a complete week to crank on one or the other.. weather permitting.......

Re: 70 baywindow
nah, not yet, busy with school. I found this one place on Samba that sells straight axle kits for 2 bills, then I will need to flip the spindles and taper for bay balljoints to fit and eliminate bump steer. This thing is all over the road. Scary on a curve with oncoming traffic and it's bouncing like a mofo. I did cruise it around today. Too nice not to. I didn't know if there were any people out and it was spur of the moment. I figure the straight axle for that price is the way to go. I originally wanted IRS, but to get another trans. and all the other parts, it would make more sense to do the straight kit... cheaper and a whole lot less hassle. Same nose cone and all.
Getting close to painting the bug?
