WHEEL NARROWING?
Howdy! Does anyone in the Richmond area narrow wheels? I have some 5.5's that I would like to narrow enough to mount 145's and use as front runners.
Thanks,
Craig

steel wheels?
Stockton Wheels in Cali can re-rim to pretty much any width you want.
Also you can hit up Chadd in FL (ratlookvw - thesamba) he does some too. I know he gets the Appliance rims done & just did a custom set of Fumis for Joe

They are the Flat 4 slotted wheels. CIP1 had a good sale but you had to buy four,so instead of selling I,thought about just keeping them for the front.

post a pic, but I'm thinking they're cast. Are the centers spot welded to the rings?

Re: WHEEL NARROWING?
if they are cast you CAN get them narrowed, but you're gonna pay $$$$ because they'll have to half the wheel, take out a "section" and reweld (aluminum = NOT cheap) and make sure its "true" & balanced...
I should have asked what is it going on? Bug, bus, T3, etc... You can run a 145/65/15 which will be a little shorter than the 145/15 but will give you about a 2" more contact patch. Better for braking and turning.
