Any Buggies here?
Hi, Mike here (AKA Tony). I live in Chesterfield county. Bought my first air-cooled at the end of the Summer last year. It's a Dune Buggy built from a '63 chassis. I've wanted one since I was a kid and saw one parked on my paper route. It's not pretty but it's fun to drive around. Any other Dune Buggies here or do you guys cringe at the thought of cutting up a perfectly good Beetle?

Welcome!! Send an email to Jim @ topless65vw@gmail.com so he can add you to the weekly email blast...I've copied and pasted the last email he sent out below:

The summer has come and gone before we know it and unfortunately we got away from our monthly club meetings. There has been some recent talk about getting back to these meetings so we are looking at starting them back up on the 2nd Saturday of each month. The first meeting would be Saturday November 12th at 2:00PM so mark your calendars now. We are considering Buffalo Wild Wings at 7801 West Broad Street in Richmond or possibly something on the south side. In any case, more details will follow next week as we nail down a place.
In the mean time, there is one more local car show coming up this weekend. It's the Hallow-scream Car show & fright fest, Saturday October 29th at the Advance Auto Parts parking lot at 3031 Mechanicsville Tnpk. in Richmond, Va.1st & 2nd place for all categories, and there is a euro category, best of show and people's choice. Registration is from 8a.m.-11:30 with judging at 1p.m. & awards at 2p.m. $20 per vehicle,$15 if you come in full costume. Goodie bags for adults & candy bags for trick or treaters.
Happy trails,
Jim
