club antenna flags??

hey would the club be interested antenna flags with our club logo on them for our cars?? i thought it would be a cool thing to put on our rides, for shows and other functions. something different the the traditional t shirt or hat. let me know what u guys think.

The idea sounds good ,but good luck trying to get response from the membership!After a months worth of phone calls trying to fill an order for t-shirts,and no feed back concerning an end of the year club family banquet?Like i said good luck!!!

Hi guys , this is Susan , Scott's wife . Hope you don't mind me coming in but I just wanted to say please everyone try to participate and keep in touch . We have had a wonderful time in this club , any of you who went with us to Jamestown and Graves Mtn know how much fun it can be to hang out with a bunch of like minded buddies and leave the world behind and just have some fun . This can't happen without all of us having each others back and working together . Hate to sound like a cheerleader (I wasn't one anyway ) but this club means a lot to alot of us and the only way to keep it together is to do things together and to respond when the pres asks for something .I want the club to rock and I know many of you do to but without participation we will fall along the wayside like our old club ( mine and Scott's old club ) did . I'm to busy , I have to mow the grass , I can't take time to play . Don't let these things stop us , lets be the BIGGEST BUNCH of best buds in Va. We got your back if you have ours , let's have some fun in the years to come !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know you wanna !!!!!!!

Hey guys it's Mr email. I believe this is my first post on our site. I'm all in for whatever we can do to get together. I enjoy just hanging out and getting to know you all. Susan I hear you loud and clear. We've had some really fun times together this past year and I hope there are more members like you out there. I know how Brian felt sending message after message out to what seemed like deaf ears. If you all just let Bill and me know what's on your mind, we'll try to get something together. I've heard "let's do something other than car shows" and "let's just get together with our cars". So we've thrown some of these ideas out and had some fun with it. The drive-in was fun and the cruises a blast. I'm all for Chuck's Nova cruise and a Christmas parade sounds like fun as well. I've gotten a couple of folks interested in the parada and spring cruise to Nova and I'll pass that information on to Bill. As you can see my messages and posts are usually late in the evening as my days are long. I really look forward to cruising topless down some country road with the smell of cows or road kill in my nose!

hey everyone, I have some information if the club is interested in the club logo antenna flags. for those of you who don't have radio antennas you can always hang them from ur rear view mirror. let me know ur imput, i think at a minimum we need 25 ordered. bill, josh, and myself i know for one will probably get 8-10 of them. anyone else??

the measurement is 4”x6” on the driving functional antenna flags. the prices will be as follows:



25 = $6.40 each

50 = $5.80 each



No set up fees.

Just ran down and talked to Scott in the den and he said sure we will take two even tho we don't have antenna's (smile) . Thank you all for welcoming me into the club along with Scott .This is his thing but you have all made me feel very welcomed !! ( Plus the bus is really mine

Put me down for two! Gotta represent here on the West Coast! We are doing a cruise to Ventura Beach this Saturday...should be a good time. November cruises...gotta love it! I'm sure you guys are looking forward to snow this time of year! Miss hangin!

k so far with brian, that makes 18 flags. target is 25 at least. the company is gonna send Bill a physical sample. keep them coming gang, need more members feedback. 18 yes 0 no's

If you dont get enough orders to make the cut, let me know and I will buy however many you need to get to 25.

thanks Joe, I think the biggest problem is getting the club members to read this, u can't really go wrong for $6.50, i think they are gonna put in today club email. the next biggest prob. is collecting the money

Paypal is the easiest way to collect money...that's how I did it for T-shirts and stickers. Looking forward to getting my flags so I can wave my VA pride on the west side!

Real quick I just wanted to chime in on the end of year banquet/club dinner. I think this would be an excellent event. Bill, Jim, and others...DON'T WAIT FOR CLUB MEMBERS TO CHIME IN AND OFFER SUGGESTIONS!!! Just pick a date and a restaurant and advertise it. People will come...that's what we did for our Spring Cruise, the Drive-in, heck, even our show! We all the most excellent participation we had at those events...I mean, what great memories, huh? The cruise to Jamestown was probably the most enjoyable VW event I've ever been a part of...the drive-in was way awesome, and our show, well, that just exceeded everyone's expectations and really put our club on the map.

So here is my advice on club events:

PICK A DATE, PICK A VENUE AND SPREAD THE WORD! Whoever wants to come will come...it's that simple!

The Goochland Drive In is going to have a Chrictmas Movie Special,i will post the date as soon as i get more info

The club dinner that i was hopeing to have for the club required a head count on top of a security down payment for the room.After virtually no response i felt i had no choice but to cancel the plan.I'm not giving up on the idea,but will not persue it with out any support from the membership.

just update everyone, the antenna flag idea will be put off for a couple months, sounds like we have enough interest for 25 to 30 members already, just the sample from the first company we looked at we didn't think it was the quality product we were looking for, so i'm gonna keep looking, if you know any company that makes them, please pitch me them, and we'll request a sample.

I'm still in tho! I talk to Bill every coupla wks, I'm still around.
I think it's dam cold now and once it gets warm, people will be back out and up for hanging out.
I like hangin wit y'all, and look forward to it.... esp when it gets warmer!
