Very Sad News

Post  Blue Totoro on Thu 13 May - 23:05

On Saturday, May 1st, one of our club members, David Gregory struck a vehicle with his motorcycle and was killed. David was a great club member and was one of our regular cruisers at the Iron Bridge Sports Park. He and his black primer bug with the racing disc hubcaps will be missed. Rest in peace, Dave...we'll keep the air-cooled tradition alive for you...

Also, Bill Wright's father passed away yesterday so please remember him in your prayers as he goes through this difficult time.

Damn, sorry to hear of your loss Bill,I know what losing a father is all about.

Also, that is sad to hear about Dave. The only time I made it to a Sports Park cruise,Dave and I were the only ones there, what a great guy!I did'nt know he road bikes,It freaks me out to hear of such accidents, since I too like to hop around on two wheel.

Was David the biker guy? I think I met him once at a get together at River city diner. I think he said he owned a sportster. Terrible news when you hear a rider and fellow VW enthusiast goes down.

Yes...David was the "biker guy". He will be missed. His daughter sent me an email the other day and I suggested that during our show we pause for a moment of silence in his memory. She thought it was a great idea and offered to send me a couple of pictures of Dave and his VW so we can display them at the registration table.
